ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Math and Science Scholarships

The ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Math and Science Scholarships were established to encourage minority students to pursue college degrees and careers in science, technology, engineering, and math. The scholarship program was created in 2010 by Dr. Bernard Harris, a former astronaut, physician, and businessman, and ExxonMobil to increase the number of underrepresented students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM). Each spring, $5,000 scholarships are awarded to two African American and two Hispanic students currently completing their senior year of high school in a member district of the Council of the Great City Schools.
