USGIF's Doctoral & Stu Shea Endowed Scholarship

The USGIF Doctoral Scholarship Program recognizes the achievements of doctoral students studying GEOINT, geospatial sciences and related fields. Preference will be given to applicant's working in or planning to enter the Defense and/or Intelligence workforce. The K. Stuart Shea Scholarship requires a 3-4 page essay describing and discussing how your doctoral research in cartography, geography and/or imaging science will advance the mission of Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT). Describe how your expertise will contribute to GEOINT as a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving of real-world human security challenges using geospatial science, data, and technology.
